Who is the course for?
For absolute beginners wishing to learn the basic steps of a variety of dances with the aim of dancing for fun.
What does the course cover?
Ballroom Dancing for Beginners includes Social Foxtrot, basic Waltz and Quickstep. Latin American Dancing covers Cha Cha Cha, basic Jive and more! Aspects covered include timing and leading and following.
What should I bring?
A pair of light flexible shoes, preferably not trainers.
What will I achieve?
What else can I learn?
Once you have achieved a certain standard in the beginner classes, you are then ready to join a class at improver level.
For those with some previous experience. Classes are also run at both Improver and Intermediate Levels.
Are there other events I can attend?
Yes, we hold a variety of social and Black Tie evenings where you can practice all you have learned in the classes.
eg a Christmas Ball
There are currently 2 social and instructional weekends during the year held at a variety of hotels. This is a great way to add to your routines and get to know your fellow classmates.
The next weekend starts on Friday 13th to Sunday 15th October.
The following Dance Weekend is from Friday 5th to Sunday 7th April 2024.

- You will be able to dance the basic steps of a variety of dances.
- You should gain confidence to dance socially and enjoy it.
- You will improve mobility.
