Pat Anslow Fellow I.D.T.A. Ballroom Branch (HC). L.I.S.T.D. (Ballroom & Latin American Branches). A.I.S.T.D. (Sequence Branch). Pat holds the Fellowship qualification of the Ballroom Branch of the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA). She also holds a Licentiate qualification with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) in both the Ballroom and Latin American Branches. She also holds an Associate qualification in the Sequence Branch of the ISTD. As an amateur, Pat danced from age 8, working her way through the medal grades to the top award. With her partner, Pat competition danced from age 11, winning many trophies attaining Championship class. Amongst her achievements, Pat appeared on BBC TV`s original Come Dancing programme, dancing for the West Midlands, also dancing in the grand finals of a Butlin`s National Competition at the Royal Albert Hall. As an experienced dance tutor Pat has taught Ballroom and Latin American Dancing at colleges in Gloucestershire before opening her own dancing school in 2008. Pat was invited by BBC Radio Gloucestershire to participate with some of her pupils in the "BIG Dance Class" organised by the Arts Council and the BBC. She has also appeared on "Points West" in a light hearted version of "Strictly Come Dancing" for a local Cricket Club. Pat runs Dance Weekends which include two evenings dancing and two mornings teaching (optional). The most recent being at the Livermead Cliff Hotel, Torquay, will be returning to Torquay for the next one from 13th to 15th October. These weekends are a great way to meet new people and previous class members.
